If you don’t know what to buy, ask the locals because they have just the right stocking stuffers. Here are some suggestions from just a few of those fun places you can shop downtown.

Wind City Books

Miranda Berdahl, the owner of Wind City Books, has a lot of suggestions for those bookworms in your life. First and foremost, they have all sorts of books and can suggest anything from fiction to thriller. Not sure what you want? They’ve read a lot of books, so don’t hesitate to ask the staff for suggestions.

One of the books suggested by Miranda Berdahl is The Last House on Needless Street, by Catriona Ward. She says, “It is an exciting thriller.” She did not want to give the ending away, but says that there is a great twist. It is told from three perspectives that are seemingly unconnected.

The next book has a Cheyenne, Wyoming tie. Wyoming’s Friendly Skies by Starley Talbott and Michael E. Kassel is about stewardesses and the “birth of Airplane Hospitality.” How cool is it that it’s something from Wyoming? This could be a gift to send to those members of your distant family who still don’t believe Wyoming is real!

Rockstar Music Store

We all have an inner rock star…or at least we know someone who loves music. There aren’t many local places in town to get you high-end musical instruments, but there is a place downtown that is ready and open for the last-minute music lover. Not sure what to get the rock star in your life? No worries: Brayden Peak at Rockstar Music has you covered. He can make some great suggestions that will be sure to let the music flow.

Toy Town

Most importantly, we can’t forget the kids. You might be in a panic — Walmart and Target are selling out of toys. But never fear, Toy Town is here! Toy Town co-owner Dalene Lockhart says that they anticipated the shortages and have plenty of stock.

Crazy Aarons for ages 5 and up

If you are looking for some unique gifts for your kids, Lockhart suggests Crazy Aarons, Funko Pops, or Legos. They also have a huge stock on science gifts and buildable activities. They can help put anything that the kids asked for from Santa underneath the Christmas tree. Stop in to see their collection of Baby Yoda, stuffed animals, and fun gadgets before Christmas day.
