The Daily Breeze: It’s elementary, my dear

Hey there,

Who doesn’t love Sherlock Holmes? Well, even if you don’t, I’d still tell you that it was “elementary.” I enjoy a good mystery, except when it’s trying to figure out who stole my last cookie from my countertop… Perhaps if I had deduction skills like Sherlock, I’d find the culprit?

Check out what the Breeze blew in for today: See the story about how they are going to replace the barn that blew down in December, read about the restorations of a scenic byway in Casper, and check out the story on the Fireants coming to town!

Casper is expecting a high of 23°F today with a mix of clouds. There is a chance of snow showers later in the day. That Breeze is super light for today and coming from the E at 5 to 10 mph.

Replacing the barn!

The Natrona County Commission has given the thumbs-up to replace a steel horse barn that was lifted up from its foundation and blown into a dirt berm by high winds last December. With any luck, we’ll have a bigger, safer structure soon!

Time to see the real scenic byway!

After nearly a decade, Natrona County has secured a source of gravel to eventually shore up persistent erosion issues on a scenic byway west of Casper. It will be exciting to have a better road out there!

The Fireants (The Fireants, Facebook)

Fireants? … Oh, it’s a band!

The Fireants, a Wyoming-based band specializing in “dance music of the Americas,” will perform in Casper at the Lyric on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Boy, I’m sure glad it’s a great group of people and not insects!
