CASPER, Wyo. — Casper Pride announced Wednesday that it has launched the Casper Pride Guide, a new website that provides access to resources and information for the LGBTQ+ community.
“The Casper Pride Guide is an online hub for LGBTQ+ resources, fostering health, wellness, and support for our Queer community in Natrona County,” the announcement states.
Casper Pride’s new website project is supported by funding through a Casper-Natrona County Health Department grant and aims to improve the health and wellness of the LGBTQ+ community in Natrona County.
“Casper Pride identified a lack of connection, access, and trust between our local resource base and our LGBTQ+ community,” Casper Pride Board Chair Mallory Pollock said. “We are excited to be able to be responsive to this gap and work with key partners to ensure that our community is able to access the services they need. This represents a lot of growth for us, moving beyond just a one-week celebration in June to become an organization that can address the year-round issues impacting the Queer community here in Casper.”
The goal of the website is to provide access to vetted local health care providers to the LGBTQ+ community along with health guides focused on suicide prevention, underage drinking, marijuana and tobacco use, binge drinking, and prescription drug abuse.
The new website also highlights LGBTQ+ events in the community.
“Visit casperprideguide.com to view the new website,” the announcement adds. “For more information, contact the Casper Pride Board of Directors at info@casperpride.com.”
