The Daily Breeze: Casper is cheering!

Hey friends,

Did you hear the news? There is a young child protégé from Centennial Middle School singing at Carnegie Hall! Boy, I wish I were that talented, but trust me, you do not want me in front of a crowd. Much better to be a part of it cheering this young star on!

Check out what the Breeze blew in for today: See the story about the Oliver Soulek, read about the process of making compost, and check out the story about wayfinding signs!

Casper is expecting a high of 64°F with clouds. That Breeze is coming from the east at 10–15 mph.

Making compost!

The compost starts out as a mixture of horse and cow manure, bedding materials and leftover hay and straw. Instead of hauling it to the landfill, the waste is taken to Kidder’s composting sites, where it’s is turned into something good.

Adding wayfinding signs along Midwest Avenue to direct visitors to the new building, to the Old Yellowstone District and into downtown is an opportunity Community Development Director Liz Becher suggested on Tuesday. Wayfinding is a big question

Casper City Council resumed discussion of wayfinding during its work session, discussing whether to add new signs to help direct visitors around the community.  But now the question is, how should they do it?
