CASPER, Wyo. — Local blues–jazz institution The Tremors will deliver a showcase ARTCORE performance Friday highlighting their staple songs, as well as some of the acts they’ve joined along the way.
The performance will take place Friday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lyric Downtown. Ticket information is available below.
“We really craft our ARTCORE shows to be unique, and this one is no exception,” bassist Dale Bohren told Oil City.
The band has been through many iterations in the last 40 years, sometimes incorporating two drummers, horn sections, back-up singers, and more. But the core, said Bohren, has always consisted of himself and Cory McDaniel, playing and singing a blend of blues, gospel, classical and jazz.
McDaniel will open Friday’s show at the Lyric with his current band, Bohren said. Then he and McDaniel will play some duets.
Then Bohren will bring the band he played with for Casper College’s production of “Mamma Mia,” including lead vocalist Andrea Sipe, for a reprise from the show.
Throughout the show, Wyoming magician Byron Grey will deploy some magic fitting of the theatrical setting, Bohren said.
“Then we’ll put it all together for a big ending,” Bohren said.
Tickets can be purchased here or at the door. A cash bar will be available.
