Kelly Walsh on precautionary lockout due to law enforcement activity in the area; students, staff safe

CASPER, Wyo. — Kelly Walsh High School is on a precautionary lockout due to law enforcement activity “within the direct area of Kelly Walsh,” the Natrona County School District said shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The campus is closed and students will not be allowed to leave for lunch, according to NCSD. Students, staff and visitors will not be allowed to leave or enter until the lockout is lifted.

“If your student is trying to access Kelly Walsh High School, we ask them to please remain away from campus at this time and to go home,” NCSD said.

The district said students and staff are safe. The district is working with law enforcement and will provide updates when possible.
