CASPER, Wyo. — Hot air balloons will once again fill the skies over Casper in July as the Casper Balloon Roundup makes its return.

Depending on the weather, hot air balloons will fly every day of the three-day rally, the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce said in its announcement.

The event is scheduled for July 29–31, with balloons inflating and launching at 6 a.m. from the Murane playing fields just south and west of Casper College. The chamber said spectators are welcome to enjoy the sights and take photos.

On Saturday, July 30, from 6 to 10 p.m., David Street Station will host a candlestick, and the balloon burners will light up the street. There also will be other related activities, the chamber said.

The final day of the rally — Sunday, July 31 — is “Kids Day,” and it features tethered balloon rides.
