CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Theater Company will be hosting this month’s summer ghost tours around the downtown area on Friday, July 22, and Saturday, July 23.
“Ghosts are everywhere,” the Casper Theater Company said in a press release in May. “This summer we will talk about them in the downtown area of Casper. There are a lot of stories told to us by merchants, residents, and people in the streets.
“You will hear things about clocks that stop ticking when the owner of the store passed away, children playing on the stairway who died of diphtheria in the 1800s, ghosts that return lost items, and much of the rich history of the buildings on the tour.”
This month’s tours will begin at 9 p.m. each night at the corner of East 2nd and South Durbin Streets. Parking is available in the downtown parking garage about a half-block to the south. The one-hour-and-15-minute tour will end where it starts, organizers said.
“The tour is easy walking, down the alleys of downtown, with spooky stories from business owners, retail employees and research we have done,” the Casper Theater Company said in its news release.
The tours have a limit of 20 people. The Casper Theater Company says the tours are not suitable for children.
Tickets are $25, and they are available at the Cheese Barrel, at the Casper Senior Center or online at www.caspertheatercompany.net by clicking the button on the bottom right.
