CASPER, Wyo. — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming is preparing to offer after-school activities for children in the Casper area this school year.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 6, the BGCCW’s Main Club at 1701 East K St. in Casper will offer an after-school program until 8 p.m. The after-school program will be offered each day of the school week.

Children and teenagers can attend programs at the Main Club. Children, teens and their families can also get a free snack and evening meal at the Main Club and don’t need to be members of the BGCCW to get the meals.

The BGCCW will also offer after-school activities that will run until 6 p.m. Monday–Friday at five Casper schools:

  • Paradise Valley Elementary, 22 Magnolia
  • Verda James Elementary, 701 Carriage Lane
  • Park Elementary, 140 W. 9th St.
  • Lincoln Elementary, 945 N. Jane St.
  • Teen programs for youth ages 13–18 at Dean Morgan Middle School, 1440 S. Elm St.

Park Elementary is a new location for the BGCCW’s after-school program, replacing a previous program site at Journey Elementary. Park is next to the Natrona County School District’s bus hub and will allow the BGCCW to serve more youth, the press release said.

“While the former Journey Branch will now be housed at Park Elementary, the Club wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the staff and administration at Journey for their partnership with the Club the past several years,” the press release said.
