NCSO: Man wanted in possible connection to double homicide late Tuesday in Natrona County

(UPDATE 3:10 p.m.) The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office says Young has been located and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office issued a public safety alert at 4 a.m. on Wednesday for a person of interest in a double homicide that took place overnight.

According to the release, a 26-year-old man named Luke Thomas Young is described as white with short brown/sandy hair and no facial hair. He is 5-foot-9, 195 lbs.

He has outstanding warrants and was last seen in the area of Ten Mile Road and Highway 20-26, and is likely traveling on foot.

“Please take extra precautions in securing your home and do not pick up hitchhikers,” said the release. Anyone who sees the man is encouraged to call 911.

The sheriff’s office says Hwy 20-26 is closed from Zero Road to Thirty Three Mile Road for the active double homicide investigation, and travelers are advised to use the detour route from Ten Mile Road to Zero Road.
