CASPER, Wyo. — The Food Bank of Wyoming is inviting citizens to volunteer at the center’s distribution warehouse during Volunteer Family Day.

According to a release, volunteers are encouraged to help build and fill boxes from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4. The boxes of food will be distributed throughout Wyoming communities.

No prior training or experience is necessary, the Food Bank of Wyoming said.

“In Wyoming, the Food Bank serves more than 10% of the state’s population,” it said in a release. “Your time volunteering at Food Bank of Wyoming can help reduce this number and provide a deeply rewarding experience that provides lasting benefits.”

“Whether you’re near Casper and want to help out in the distribution center or you live elsewhere across Wyoming, Food Bank of Wyoming’s mobile pantries and other programs are always looking for volunteers,” it said. “Learn more about volunteering as an individual or group, plus view the full volunteer calendar, which details all available volunteer opportunities.”

Registration is required to volunteer. Registration can be done online by clicking here, by email at info@wyomingfoodbank.org, or by calling 307-232-4016.
