UPDATE: As of 5:25 a.m., power has been restored to most customers. According to a Tweet from RMP, the outage was caused by “animal interference.”
CASPER, Wyo. — Some 11,853 residents are without power on Monday morning, according to Rocky Mountain Power.
As of 3 a.m., the large outage is affecting area codes 82601, 82604 and 82609, according to RMP’s outage map.
The outage was reported just before 1 a.m., according to RMP’s Twitter account.
“The cause is under investigation, and the estimated time of restoration is 5:30 a.m.,” the company said.
