CASPER, Wyo. — Opera Wyoming is staging Puccini’s “La Bohème” in Casper.
One of the most well known operatic works, “La Bohème” performances are scheduled on March 31 and April 2 at The Lyric in downtown Casper, according to a release from Opera Wyoming.
“‘La Bohème’ tells the heart-wrenching story of a group of young artists struggling to make ends meet while pursing their dreams,” the release said. “Their friendships, romances and heartbreaks unfold in a series of breathtaking arias, duets and ensembles that have captivated audiences for over a century.”
Opera Wyoming’s cast will consist of singers from Wyoming, Vermont and Florida, and will feature piano accompaniment by Casper’s Susan Stubson.
The opera will be sung with its original Italian lyrics, along with English supertitles, said the release.
