CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County Public Library has announced this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, designed to encouraged people of all ages to read over summer break and vacations.
“Readers of all ages are invited to participate in the sunniest reading challenge in town,” said the NCPL on its website.
Registration for the Summer Reading Challenge starts on June 1 and runs through Aug. 31. Incentives and prizes vary for each age group.
Prizes for kids grades 6 and under include books, coupons and other fun items. Teens grades 7 through 12 will see prizes that include reading lights, books and coupons. For both groups, anyone who completes all 75 days of reading will be entered into a grand prize drawing for one of several $50 gift cards, according to the library.
Adult readers ages 18 and up are encouraged to read at least 20 minutes each day. All formats are allowed, including traditional books, eBooks, audiobooks and magazines. Every 25 days of reading earns prizes that can be retrieved at the library, and those who read for 75 days will be entered into a grand prize drawing. Prizes include a library mug, a book of your choice, and a surprise for month three. Grand prize drawings will be for local gift cards.
