CASPER, Wyo. — A public open house to envision the future development of the City of Casper–owned land located near the Ford Wyoming Center will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 8 at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, 1501 N. Poplar St.
The open house is being organized by the Casper Area Metropolitan Planning Organization in coordination with the City of Casper and consultant Ayres Associates Inc., a news release states.
The North Platte River Park No. 2 Simple Master Plan will evaluate the existing infrastructure of the area as well as provide illustrative plans and layouts of potential uses. The study encompasses 111.5 acres of vacant land north of Events Drive and east of Interstate 25 currently owned by the City of Casper. The purpose of this open house is to gain feedback from the public regarding their priorities and visions for the area.
Attendees are welcome to drop into the meeting at any time that is convenient for them. Large aerial maps of the study area will be available. Members of the project team will be on hand to discuss possible land uses and public priorities for the area.
