CASPER, Wyo. — The superstar a cappella group Pentatonix held what was perhaps Casper’s largest pajama party on Saturday evening at the Ford Wyoming Center.
A number of the group’s superfans donned their best and coziest Christmas pajamas for the festive show, in spite of the unusually mild weather.
The California-based vocal group consisting of five members was originally formed in Arlington, Texas, and started gaining and growing its dedicated audience by posting unique arrangements of cover songs on its YouTube channel. Currently the channel has more than 20 million subscribers. They gained more mainstream attention and a record deal after their appearance on NBC’s talent competition show “The Sing-Off” in 2011.
Casper’s performance is near the start of their “The Most Wonderful Tour of the Year” tour. The show sold more than 6,000 tickets, according to Ford Wyoming Center marketing director Kendra Ziler.
