CASPER, Wyo. — The grounds around the Nicolaysen Art Museum were filled with local artists, musicians, community members and more for the second day of the 18th annual NIC Fest.

“Things have been going great so far,” museum Executive Director Allison Maluchnik said with a smile. “Once again, the community has really turned out to help make this a great event.”

The day’s festivities include live music all day long, several games and activities, dozens of artisan vendors and more.

New to NIC Fest this year was a performance by the Tasunka-Ota Dance Group, Maluchnik said.

“That was amazing and we had a lot of great responses,” she said. “The dunk tanks are new as well. And we’re going to have Museum of Mysteries, which is something we haven’t done before.”

Maluchnik said 2024’s NIC Fest is on pace to garner roughly 5,000 attendees, on par with what it’s seen in years past.

The schedule of performers for the rest of Saturday is as follows:

  • 3 p.m. – Aquile
  • 4:15 p.m. – Chad Lore
  • 5:30 p.m. – Kaspen Haley & Boxelder Stomp
  • 7 p.m. – Zam Trip

NIC Fest wraps up on Sunday.
