CASPER, Wyo. — Two moose have been reported poached east of Elk River, Idaho.
Idaho Fish and Game say officers are seeking help locating a red Chevrolet pickup truck that witnesses reported seeing leave the area where the moose were killed on Nov. 2.
“Witnesses reported seeing a black lab in the bed of the truck and said that the vehicle left the area traveling at a high rate of speed,” Idaho Fish and Game explained. “Both moose were taken from the scene.”

Witnesses described the vehicle as a red 2007-2014 Chevy model “with newer bedside wood racks approximately cab height.”
The incident occurred near Isabella Road. The sex of the moose is not described in the release.
