CASPER, Wyo. — A Jackson resident won a wild bison hunting license donated by Governor Mark Gordon for a raffle to support wildlife conservation, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department said Tuesday.
Norma Winder won the raffle, which was open only to Wyoming residents. The raffle raised $22,500, with the money to go to the Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition to help with efforts to sustain wildlife in the state.
“I thank all those who purchased a raffle ticket to support Wyoming’s spectacular wildlife,” Gordon said in Game and Fish’s press release. “The amount donated by these Wyoming hunters shows just how much we all care about our wildlife and our culture of hunting.”
Gordon has donated a bison hunting license each of the past three years for raffles to raise money to support wildlife conservation.
