A class designed to bring out each participant’s creative nature while exploring the fun side of modern dancing in their bare feet is being offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, or “OLLI” at Casper College.
“Free Your Feet, Free Your Mind” will take place July 13, 20 and 27 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Taught by Lucia Hill, the class will feature the history of modern dance, warm-up stretches, and creative dance moves. According to Hill, modern dance allows people to interpret freely while learning natural movements.
OLLI is a program created for adults, age 50-and-up, who wish to continue learning and exploring for the sheer joy of it. Supported by the Bernard Osher Foundation, OLLI is a learning community offering several short courses, field trips and lectures of particular interest to adult learners who are interested in taking short-term, non-credit classes. No college background is needed. Activities take place on the Casper College campus as well as offsite in other community locations.
