Paradise Valley Elementary and the NIC Celebrate Chinese New Year

Paradise Valley Elementary will celebrate Chinese New Year on Thursday, February 15 at their school with grade-level performances of Tiangou’s Eclipse – a narrated musical story. Fifth grade will start the performances at 9:00 a.m., followed by 4th grade at 10:00 a.m., 3rd grade at 11:00 a.m., 2nd grade at 12:30 p.m., 1st grade at 1:30 p.m., and Kindergarten at 2:30 p.m.

On Friday, February 16, the celebration continues at The Nicolaysen Art Museum with a cultural presentation from a Chinese teacher from the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program, a narrated musical story performed by the 4th grade students, traditional Chinese crafts in The NIC’s Discovery Center, and food/beverages. There will also be art for sale that was created and donated by 4th grade students at Paradise Valley Elementary School for sale in our Rosenthal Gallery to help raise funds for their trip to China during their 5th grade year.

The celebration is from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 at The NIC. Entrance fee is $5 per person (ages 2 & younger free). FREE to members of The NIC. Proceeds will go toward the DLI China trip and The NIC. Special thanks to Top of the Class Rentals and Casper College for sponsoring this cultural event.
