CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Artists’ Collective is holding the opening reception for its new member exhibit at the Nicolaysen Art Museum this Friday.

The reception is free to the public and will be held at 5:30 p.m.

“This exhibit celebrates creation with no boundaries and shows the diversity that the artists of our little town have to offer,” the group said in its announcement.

Casper Artists’ Collective President Rachel Hawkinson said this is the first exhibition for the artists of the new nonprofit, and features work from established artists, debut artists, and artists who are coming off hiatus.

Twenty-five artists will be represented through a wide variety of media, including massive spray paint works by Stevie Vanderheiden, neon antlers created by Connie Morgan and Wes Sage, and 3D watercolor sculptures.

There will also be pottery, metalwork, and works in the more traditional Western vein.

There are also recorded interviews with some of the artists. These can be viewed on site at the True Gallery.
