(Colorado Children's Theater)

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Children’s Chorale will open for the Colorado Children’s Chorale for an ARTCORE performance at the Highland Park Community Church this Tuesday.

The Colorado group is making an early stop in Casper as it kicks off a national tour, continuing a semi-annual tradition of performing with the Casper Children’s Chorale.

The program features an eclectic mix of styles, including jazz, devotional, musical theater, and world music, according to the Colorado Children’s Chorale’s marketing director Cheryl Akin.

One thing they all have in common is a spirit of “hope, joy, and resiliency,” Akin said, and the program sure to delight all ages — from 4 to 104.

The program will include songs from “Tom Sawyer” and “The Secret Garden,” as well the jazz staple “It Don’t Mean a Thing if You Ain’t Got That Swing,” originally performed by Duke Ellington.
