A recent article from Men’s Journal has named Casper among the Top-20 Mountain Towns in America.
In the article, Casper is praised for its rugged scenery and top recreational opportunities, saying “it’s a difficult choice between climbing or kayaking Fremont Canyon, but we’ll go with the former for the insane burnt orange reflection of the jagged rocks in the water below.”
The Casper Area Convention and Visitors Bureau recently adopted the slogan “the mountain town for the wild at heart” for Casper to celebrate the city’s unique blending of natural and urban landscapes.
“We have all of the incredible beauty and recreation you expect of a mountain town experience, but what makes Casper special is that it’s uncrowded, convenient and affordable. You can mountain bike, hike, run through hidden trails all over Casper Mountain, then be eating a steak dinner 20 minutes later. It’s exciting that Men’s Journal is featuring Casper and everything we offer visitors,” CACVB CEO Brook Kreder said.
In addition to Casper’s outdoor possibilities, the article encouraged visitors to take advantage of the town’s spirited dining and nightlife.
“Casper is one of the undiscovered treasures in Wyoming. It’s a great launching spot for so many recreational opportunities but with incredible amenities — the distillery, boutiques, shopping, top hotels. Casper really has the best of everything in a mountain vacation,” Tia Troy, Media and Public Relations Manager of the Wyoming Office of Tourism, said.
