The Adventure Racing World Championship’s Cameco Cowboy Tough Expedition Race kicked off in Casper on Tuesday afternoon.

The racers in teams from all over the world marched through the Old Yellowstone District holding their respective flags as crowds cheered. Teams were then sent on a treasure hunt through downtown before enjoying drinks and food in front of the nearly-completed David Street Station.

The racers will load up in buses for a trip to Jackson Hole where racing will officially start. The sixty teams will have six days to cover 450 miles of Wyoming by running, biking, vertical roping and on inflatable rafts.
