Around 1,400 people made their way through the Lyric on Dec. 31 during the first ever Noon Year’s Celebration and Mac & Cheese Festival, according to David Street Station operations manager Amy Crawford.
Local restaurants C85 Branding Iron, Eggingtons, On the Border, La Cocina and HQ BBQ were all on hand to serve their versions of the savory hot dish during the festival.
Patrons were asked to vote for their favorites. HQ BBQ came out on top in both the People’s Choice and Kid’s Favorite categories with Eggingtons a close second, according to Crawford.
