John Henley will become Casper’s City Attorney, according to a written statement sent by city officials.

Mayor Ray Pacheco announced Henley will take the position on February 20, 2018.

According to the written statement, Casper City Council made the decision Wednesday, January 17 during an executive session.

“We believe Mr. Henley’s work experience, extensive community involvement, and respect from fellow attorneys will serve us well,” stated Pacheco.  “He will join an experienced and solid team that already exists in the City Attorney’s Office.”

Henley holds a law degree from the University of Wyoming and bachelor’s degree in accounting.  He has practiced law and resided in Casper for over thirty years.
