A Women’s March was held Saturday, January 20th, in Casper, nearly one year after a nationwide March last year.
This year’s event featured several speakers from this community and the including Democratic Senate candidate Gary Trauner, and local activist Jane Ifland. An open mic session was also held where marchers shared their stories and experiences.
The weather was cold and the streets were wet, but otherwise the march managed to beat the worst of the weekend’s winter storm.
Event organizers say that the march was intended for women and their allies to join in solidarity, standing in support of Women’s Rights, Human Rights, and American Values.
