Downtown Christmas Celebration

– The City of Casper, working in conjunction with the Downtown Casper Business Association, David Street Station, and Proud To Host The Best committee will be hosting a “Small Business Saturday” walking mall, and Christmas Celebration on November 24th, 2018.

We encourage everyone to get out and support the small, locally owned, businesses in our community, then cap off the day with a family-oriented Christmas Celebration.

Activities will include the grand opening of the David Street Station ice skating rink, a Christmas tree lighting at David Street Station, and the Christmas parade.

The Casper Police Department has been working closely with these organizations to create a safe and family friendly environment for this celebration. As part of the collaboration a new Christmas Parade route has been established, which will begin at the David Street Station and end at 2nd and Beech. Arrangements have been made with businesses on the outlying edges of the downtown area for utilizing their parking lots throughout the day, and CATC and The Buss will be operating a special downtown bus route throughout the day to increase ease of use in the downtown area. A map detailing the public parking areas and special bus route is provided. Please take note that parking in all of these areas is at your own risk.

We encourage and invite everyone to utilize the established parking areas, as the parking on 2nd street and W. Yellowstone, between Poplar and Beech, will be closed beginning at 2:00 p.m. This measure has been implemented to increase the safety of pedestrians and children in the downtown area. Please see the attached parade route and parking closure map for more information.
