The final presentation of what came out of some “Connecting Crossroads” transportation workshops is still set for 6 p.m. Thursday, March 14 in the Casper College Gateway Center, Room 225.
“Even though yesterday’s activities were snowed out, we’ve continued to work on getting your feedback and craft transportation solutions,” a Casper Area Metropolitan Planning Organization press release states. “We’ve had a productive week and are ready to showcase some big ideas! Come join us and see what we’ve been up to.”
The Casper Area MPO held workshops that began on Tuesday to get public input as to what they’d like to see in the MPO’s upcoming Long Range Transportation Plan.

The MPO says it is working to update the 30 year plan and expects to to have a design ready by May or June.
The workshops have been focused on things like safety, traffic congestion, transit system improvements or bicycling. MPO Supervisor Aaron Kloke said his office began its efforts by seeking public opinion via a survey on the “Connecting Crossroads” website, the site MPO is using to organize information about the transportation plan.
Kloke said that the workshops were a way for MPO to gather more public input and begin to provide additional focus to what was gathered in the initial survey.
The MPO release says that food and drinks will be provided at the 6 p.m. Thursday final presentation.
