Two dead, two injured in single-car crash near Wheatland


Two people are dead and two injured after a single-car crash near Wheatland on July 30.

According to a release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, a 2003 Buick Century was traveling northbound on I-25 when it drifted into the median and overturned.

Two people in the back seat who were not wearing seatbelts died at the scene, according to the report. The’ve been identified as Andrea Garner, 45, of Lusk, and David Cunningham, 35, of Casper.

The driver, Shane Moser, 24, of Casper, was injured, as was the front seat passenger Ashley Wall, 26, of Casper. Both were wearing seatbelts and transported to the Wheatland Hospital with injuries, according to the report.

Driver fatigue is being cited as a possible contributing factor, according to the report.

These mark the 95th and 96th fatals on Wyoming’s roadways in 2019, compared to 61 in 2018.
