Casper man dies, 2 injured in Sunday crash outside of town

CASPER, Wyo. – A Casper man is dead and two are injured after a single-vehicle crash on Sunday night.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the Ford F-150 pickup was heading northbound on WY 487 approaching the intersection of WY 220 when it drove off the roadway and into an open field.

The truck continued traveling until if flipped and rolled onto its roof. The front seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene.

The driver and rear-seat passenger were both transported to the Wyoming Medical Center by ground ambulance with injuries.

The Natrona County Coroner’s office has identified the victim as Casper resident Brandon Nicholas West, 24.

Speed and driver inattention are being cited as possible contributing factors, according to the report.
