Crews respond to Saturday fire in Casper

CASPER, Wyo. — Casper Fire-EMS has released details about a Saturday morning structire fire on the 900 block of North Beech Street.

Officials say that they received the call at approximately 10:30 am, August 24, 2019.

Fire officals say the reporting party said they could see smoke coming from the house.

Upon entering the house, crews found an occupant and dog. The resident was removed by fire personnel and transported to Wyoming Medical Center by ambulance for evaluation.

The dog exited the structure once the door was opened. The crew was able to quickly extinguish the fire, preventing further damage to the home.

“In total, 5 Casper Fire-EMS units responded, along with additional chief officers, and an investigator,” a Casper Fire-EMS statement said Friday night. “Casper Fire-EMS was also assisted by Casper Police Department and Wyoming Medical Center Ambulance service. As always, we express our gratitude.”
