I-25 Shoshoni bypass closed Tuesday after crash

Update: At 2:45 p.m. WDOT issued an update stating the hazmat team has arrived on scene but has not been able to remove any of the spill. The bypass will not be open by this evening’s drive time. There is no estimation on when the bypass will be open.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation is advising of a closure at the I-25 and Shoshoni bypass today due to an early morning crash.

The release says the ramp to I-25 is closed due to a hazmat spill from the crash, which happened around 3 a.m.

Drivers are advised to avoid the bypass and instead use Yellowstone/First Street through Mills.

The cleanup is expected to last until noon.

According to WYDOT, the crash involved a single semi-tractor trailer rollover. No injuries have been reported.
