Knife River to pave Hogadon parking lot for $306,643

CASPER, Wyo. — Hogadon Basin Ski Area is owned by the City of Casper. The city is planning to construct a new parking lot at Hogadon.

The Casper City Council authorized an agreement with JTL Group, which does business as Knife River to carry out the construction. The council approved the $306,643 agreement during their Tuesday, Feb. 18. meeting.

An additional $20,357 will be set aside as a contingency account for any cost overages to the project.

Knife River provided the lowest bid of five companies for the project:

The project will involve regrading the parking lot to allow for better drainage and will provide some paved parking areas.

The project is expected to be complete around Aug. 30, 2020.

Hodagadon “Parking Lot Opportunity Funds” and 1% No. 15 sales and use tax dollars will pay for the project.
