CASPER, Wyo. — An 18-year-old driver and 22-year-old passenger were transported to Wyoming Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries after crashing into a tree on the afternoon of Sunday, April 5th.
“The driver advised that he was traveling between 70 and 90 miles per hour when he lost control of the vehicle,” Casper Police Depratment Public Information Officer Rebekah Ladd said in an email statement.
Casper PD officers had responded at around 3 pm to “a call of a car crash with injuries at the 700 block of South Durbin,” according to Ladd.

“Officers located a passenger vehicle with two occupants,” she added. “Both occupants were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was cited for reckless driving, minor in possession of alcohol, open container and no proof of insurance.”
Neighbors on Sunday in the 700 block of South Durbin reported seeing the passenger vehicle headed northbound at 70-80 mph at the time of the accident, 2:57 p.m.
Casper PD officers on the scene said alcohol was a suspected contributing factor.
