CASPER, Wyo. — Visit Casper, Natrona County’s tourism bureau, approved a budget amendment Tuesday to approve spending of an additional $50,348 in CARES funding.

Visit Casper CEO Brook Kaufman told the board on November 1 that the Wyoming Office of Tourism had surplus federal CARES funding that needed be spent by December 20.

A formal amendment to the budget was needed in order to authorize the spending.

Kaufman told Oil City that the funds were used to “spend deeper” on existing marketing campaigns such as the Road to Yellowstone, the One and Only, and Open for Business.
