CASPER, Wyo. — A Casper man is dead after a single-vehicle rollover on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, a 1988 Chevrolet Corsica was heading north on Interstate 25 near milepost 189 at round 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday when the vehicle left the left side of the roadway.
The driver overcorrected to the right, losing control of the vehicle and causing it to overturn.
The driver is identified as Brett G. Briscoe, 53, of Casper. He was not wearing a seatbelt, said the release, and he succumbed to injuries after being transported to the Wyoming Medical Center.
Driver inattention is being investigated as a contributing factor, the release stated.
