CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper City Council is set to hold a work session starting at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 25 at City Hall.

The city council will discuss a proposal to convert two-way streets off of CY Avenue near St. Anthony’s School and the location for the new CY Discount Liquors & Backdoor Lounge during Tuesday’s work session.

Council member Bruce Knell proposed the idea of converting some streets in the areas to one-ways in December 2021 as a way to possibly alleviate concerns of some St. Anthony’s School parents regarding the proximity of the liquor store and bar to the school.

City staff are recommending against converting the two-way streets in the area to one-ways, according to a memo in the city council’s work packet for Tuesday’s work session.

The city council is also set to discuss giving staff approval to explore agreements with user groups of Mike Lansing Field during Tuesday’s work session.

The council is also set to hear a report regarding operations of the city’s Engineering Division during the work session.

The work session can be streamed via the City of Casper’s YouTube channel:
