CASPER, Wyo. — Natrona County High School senior Dominique Baker was honored in a ceremony as she signed a letter of intent to attend Dakota College at Bottineau for softball.
With softball at NCHS only two years old, Baker is the first-ever NCHS student to sign to a college to play softball. She’ll be mainly playing third-base and outfield for Bottineau, she said.
Baker started playing with the Casper Crush before joining the NCHS softball team in high school.
She will be studying biochemistry at Bottineau, she said — “definitely something in the science field.”
“I love my teammates, I love the coaches,” said Baker regarding her school on Wednesday afternoon. “The coaching staff is great. I love the competitiveness. I just love everything.”
