CASPER, Wyo. — Some 75 seniors lined up and walked through the Ford Wyoming Center during the Roosevelt High School’s Class of 2022 graduation ceremony Friday afternoon.

“You’re a special group of young men and women,” said journalist and author Ron Franscell during his commencement speech. “You’re the last to know what Roosevelt High School was like before the pandemic.”

His speech touched on learning from mistakes in life, and encouraged the graduates to find their “North Star.”

“We’re all headed in one direction or another, but you’re not just a leaf being carried down the stream,” he said. “You can choose where you go, and your ‘North Star’ can light the way.”

Roosevelt was the third of four high school graduation ceremonies in Natrona County this week. Midwest and Kelly Walsh High School graduated Thursday, and Natrona County High School will graduate Friday night at the Ford Wyoming Center.
