CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County Travel and Tourism Board announced that Tyler Daugherty will join Visit Casper as its new president and CEO. Daugherty was previously vice president of community relations with Travel Dubuque, and has coached track and basketball for Indiana University East.
“We are thrilled that Tyler will be leading the Visit Casper team,” said Jim Ruble, chair for the Natrona County Travel & Tourism Council Board of Directors. “There is no doubt that his experience, character and leadership will be a great fit for our destination, and we look forward to continuing to grow the industry under his purview.”
As president and CEO of Visit Casper, Daugherty will provide a leadership role in enhancing the economic base of Natrona County through tourism. Visit Casper is funded by a lodging tax and promotes leisure travel, sports, events and group travel.
“Casper is already an amazing destination and my family and I are happy to be settling in the West,” said Daugherty. “I cannot wait to get to work and build upon the organization’s strong foundation, while ensuring that Natrona County is successful and continues to thrive and grow, from consumer travelers to sporting events and group travel to film.”
Daugherty has a Master of Business Administration and brings more than 10 years of tourism industry experience — including sports, events and community engagement — to his position at Visit Casper.
“He has a vast knowledge in team building, coaching, partnerships, training and recruitment, and has played a key role in large events that fuel the economy, including America’s River Festival and Team of Dreams,” Visit Casper stated.
Daugherty will start at Visit Casper on Dec. 1, 2022.
