CASPER, Wyo. — Casper Area Transit will have some adjusted availability from Nov. 24 through Nov. 26 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Residents with disabilities and their families wanting a ride to the downtown Christmas parade that is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 can reserve one with Casper Area Transit, according to Casper’s Council of People with Disabilities. Reservations for rides to the parade need to be made no later than 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21. Rides can be scheduled by calling 307-235-8273.
On Thanksgiving Day on Nov. 24, fixed-route LINK and door-to-door ASSIST services will both be closed, according to Casper Area Transit.
On Friday, Nov. 25, the LINK service will run from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ASSIST will run from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with limited bus availability.
On Nov. 26, both LINK and ASSIST’s services (other than Christmas parade services) will run from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be no Orange or Purple Route service.
“ASSIST rides for Monday, November 28, must be made by Wednesday, November 23, before 3:00 p.m., depending on availability,” Casper Area Transit added. “The Transit Office will be closed Thursday, November 24, through Saturday, November 26, so tokens and passes will not be available for purchase.”
