CASPER, Wyo. — With snow falling in the Casper area, Vice Mayor Ray Pacheco took time during the regular City Council meeting Tuesday to ask people to shovel their walks.

“Please shovel your walks if you are able to physically,” Pacheco said. “If you need help, ask a neighbor.”

Clear sidewalks are important to a lot of people such as kids walking to school and mail carriers, Pacheco said.

“Just take the time,” he said. “It is a thoughtful thing to do. If you can do it, please do it.

“[Shovel] onto your lawns, not into the streets.”

Pacheco and some other members of the City Council asked people and drivers to be safe amid the storm.
