PHOTOS: No injuries, one citation after SUV and school bus collide Thursday morning

CASPER, Wyo. — No injuries were reported when an SUV collided with a school bus at a busy west Casper intersection Thursday morning, officials on scene said.

The incident occurred at around 8:25 a.m. at the intersection of West 13th and South Poplar streets.

Casper Police Officer Michael Hughes told Oil City News on the scene that the SUV was headed northbound on Poplar and collided with the bus, which was westbound on 13th, in a T-bone fashion. 

According to Hughes, the school bus driver was cited for running a red light.

The roadway was expected to be open by the time of this publication.

The children were transferred to a second bus.
