The National Historic Interpretive Trails Center is hosting a number of talks and events leading up to the eclipse event.  First up on July 24, at 1:00, Kevin Reddy, member of the U.S. Corp of Topographical Engineers, will describe the methods and use of lunar measurements in navigation. He will look at lunar distance measurements, its development and replacement by what we would call Celestial Navigation.  On August 6, at 1:00, Casper Planetarium Supervisor Michele Wistensen will present an in-depth look on how to properly prepare for this unique event.

Check out the Complete Wyoming Eclipse Festival Event Guide below for more eclipse-related events at the Trails Center, as well as other events around the Casper area.
