CASPER, Wyo. — The Bunning family has established a new scholarship available to graduates of Kaycee High School who are attending Casper College.

Richard Bunning said the reason the family established the scholarship was to encourage Kaycee High School students to pursue higher education.

The new Bunning Family Scholarship will provide $2,000 between the fall and spring semesters at Casper College. Kaycee High School graduates majoring in any program at Casper College are eligible for the scholarship provided they finished high school with a 3.0 GPA, CC said in its Tuesday announcement.

“If the recipient maintains a 2.0 or better GPA during their freshman year, the scholarship will be renewed for their sophomore year,” the college added. “Financial need will also be considered for awarding the scholarship, and the recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours.
