CASPER, Wyo. — The Board Infrastructure Planning Committee of the Natrona County School District has released its recommended list of major maintenance projects for the 2023–24 fiscal year.
The list, totaling $3,682,000 in proposed expenditures, is the result of collaborative efforts between Project Manager Doug Tunison, the school district’s maintenance staff and personnel from individual schools.
NCSD’s Board of Trustees is set to discuss the list at its regularly scheduled meeting this evening.
Here are some highlights from the expansive list:
- Evansville leads in budget allocation with projects including a $400,000 replacement and upgrade for its fire protection system and a $250,000 budget for the repair or replacement of casework.
- Centennial school is set to allocate $200,000 to repair the fire sprinkler system throughout its facilities.
- Midwest is focusing on improving stadium lighting with a budget of $350,000, which includes 10% enhancement funding.
- Park is asking for $200,000 for the replacement of boilers.
The various projects encompass essential replacements and repairs, including door access control systems, playground fall material replacements, fire system upgrades and more.
The projects, if funded by the Major Maintenance Funds, are expected to boost the overall infrastructure and safety measures of the district’s facilities.
