CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming’s Primary Election Day is about two weeks away, and Monday marks one voting-related deadline, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.

Monday, Aug. 1 marks the last day voters can register without also casting a vote on the same day. However, Monday is not the last day people can register to vote in Wyoming.

Starting Tuesday and every day through the primary, including the day of the Primary Election on Tuesday, Aug. 16, voters have the opportunity to register provided they cast a vote the same day that they register, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.

In Natrona County, voters can register in person at the Elections Office, 200 N. Center St., Room 154. People must bring an accepted form of identification in order to register to vote in Wyoming.

On Primary Election Day, people in Natrona County can register in person at their polling place. Natrona County offers an online polling location locator to help people know where to go to vote. The locator will also provide sample ballots for voters registering as Republicans, Democrats or without party affiliation.

Oil City News has been publishing candidate questionnaire responses from candidates running out of Natrona County. Those candidate questionnaires, as well as other voting-related information, are available under the Elections tab on Oil City’s website.

Another source of information about candidates that will appear on ballots in Natrona County is the League of Women Voters’ Vote 411.

After the Primary Election Day, Wyoming will again open general voter registration on Wednesday, Aug. 17. People will then have the opportunity to register to vote without necessarily casting a vote on the same day of registration through Monday, Oct. 24, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.

Wyoming will then offer voter registration provided people cast a vote the same day starting Tuesday, Oct. 25 up to and including Tuesday, Nov. 8, the day of the General Election.

Further information about voting in Natrona County is available from the Natrona County Clerk’s Office online. More statewide information is available from the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office.
