Natrona County’s average gas price crosses $3 mark as national average goes up pennies

CASPER, Wyo. — Although the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline rose only pennies over the last week, Natrona County has seen its average gas prices rise more than 30 cents, again crossing the $3 mark.

AAA reported the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline at $3.32 per gallon, up 4 cents from a week ago, and placed Wyoming’s average lower at $3.22, up 14 cents from last week. Natrona County’s average gas price rose 32 cents from $2.69 per gallon to $3.01, and now falls behind Park County’s $2.97 as the second cheapest average in the state, according to AAA.

The cheapest price offered by a local station on Monday was $2.87 at Loaf ‘N Jug, 285 Honeysuckle St., followed by $2.89 at Sam’s Club, 4600 E. 2nd St.; Shell, 3930 Denis Drive; and Ridley’s Family Market, 300 SE Wyoming Blvd., according to GasBuddy reports.
